Encouragement Can Go a Long Way
I think we would all agree that helping a friend is a kind and thoughtful thing to do, yet we often miss opportunities to help our friends. In the book: But I’m Just a Kid, Lucas learns how to help out his friend even though he is just a kid. Children will learn many valuable lessons about caring for their friends from this book. I also think adults can learn something from this book, too. With Lucas, he struggled figuring out how to help his friend, but with adults we struggle with finding the time. I don’t know about you, but I know I need to slow down my pace of life a little so I can notice when my friends and loved ones need a helping hand or a word of encouragement.
As your friend, here is my word of encouragement to you:
“Take a breath, clear your head, then stop for just a moment and count your blessings. Now you are ready to march onward with your day and encourage others along the way.”
